The role in detail

TradeConnex is recruiting for Waroona Stage 1, a 132 MW solar farm with a battery energy storage system in Waroona, Western Australia, delivered by Monford Group as EPC. Mobilisation has started, and this campaign recruits the labourers of the civil crew: site preparation, access roads, drainage, trenching and the pads that turn a paddock into a construction site.

What you will do

• Work alongside plant operators and the leading hand on earthworks, drainage and trenching
• Place and compact material and assist with the installation of pipes, pits and drainage
• Install erosion and sediment controls and keep them maintained
• Move materials, tools and equipment around the work area and keep work fronts and access roads clean and safe
• Follow site safety, environmental and construction procedures

You will need

• Experience on civil or construction sites is preferred, but not required for every position
• The physical fitness to perform repetitive outdoor construction work in a hot climate
• The ability to work effectively as part of a civil crew
• Reliable transport or the ability to reach the project under the arrangements stated for the role

• Employment: Casual
• Pay: $40 an hour
• Accommodation details: Roster: Project roster to be confirmed by employer. Commutable from Waroona, Harvey, Bunbury and Collie; no camp planned.
