The role in detail

Genus Group is recruiting for Cloudbreak Solar Farm, a solar farm near Newman, Western Australia, delivered by Fortescue as EPC. This campaign recruits the HV and substation electricians of the HV W1 wave.

What you will do

• Install and terminate HV cable, switchgear, transformers and protection and control equipment
• Carry out the secondary wiring and the earthing of the substation to the drawings
• Test what you install and complete the records the commissioning team will rely on
• Work under permit and isolation procedures at every step

You will need

• An electrical licence recognised in Western Australia and proven HV or substation experience
• A White Card and a driver’s licence
• Familiarity with permit-to-work and isolation procedures on high-voltage plant
• The discipline that working near energised equipment demands

• Accommodation details: Roster: 2:1 FIFO from Perth. Cloudbreak mine camp; FIFO from Perth, 2:1 roster.
