About this project
A 190 MW solar farm built by Fortescue at its Cloudbreak mine in the Pilbara, Western Australia, with a 650 MWh (74 MW) battery energy storage system integrated into it. Fortescue reported the solar farm around two-thirds complete in March 2026 and expects the battery to be completed in its 2027 financial year.
