The role in detail

BYESSA is recruiting for Culcairn Solar Farm, a solar farm near Culcairn, New South Wales, delivered by Equans Solar & Storage + Bouygues Construction Australia JV as EPC. This campaign recruits the operations and maintenance technicians who take the plant over as construction ends.

What you will do

• Carry out scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on trackers, inverters, the battery yard and the balance of plant
• Diagnose and repair faults on the field, the inverter stations and the monitoring systems
• Monitor plant performance and respond to alarms and callouts under the site roster
• Keep the maintenance records and the spare-parts inventory current

You will need

• An electrical or mechanical trade background, ideally with solar farm or battery experience
• A White Card and a driver’s licence; an electrical licence recognised in New South Wales is an advantage
• Comfort with monitoring systems, test equipment and maintenance software
• The reliability a permanent local operations role depends on

• Employment: Full time
• Pay: $44 an hour + penalties
• Penalty rates: Yes — award penalty rates apply
• Accommodation details: Roster: Mon–Fri 07:00–16:45; Sat 08:00–12:00 — bus from Albury/Wodonga. Bus from Albury/Wodonga; no camp.
