The role in detail

Equans Australia is recruiting for Culcairn Solar Farm, a solar farm near Culcairn, New South Wales, delivered by Equans Solar & Storage + Bouygues Construction Australia JV as EPC. This campaign recruits the commissioning technicians of the Commissioning W2 wave.

What you will do

• Carry out pre-energisation checks, insulation and continuity tests and functional tests on the DC field, the inverter stations and the battery yard
• Energise blocks under the commissioning plan and the permit and isolation procedures
• Record every test and every result in the commissioning file
• Work with the HV crew, the battery supplier and the grid operator through the energisation sequence

You will need

• An electrical licence recognised in New South Wales and commissioning experience on solar, battery or industrial plant
• A White Card and a driver’s licence
• Fluency with test equipment, protection and control and inverter systems
• The discipline that energising a plant for the first time demands

• Pay: $87 an hour
• Accommodation details: Roster: Mon–Fri 07:00–16:45; Sat 08:00–12:00 — bus from Albury/Wodonga. Bus from Albury/Wodonga; no camp.
