The role in detail

PSD Energy is recruiting for SEC Renewable Energy Park – Horsham, a solar farm near Horsham, Victoria, delivered by OX2 as EPC. This campaign recruits the electrical trade assistants of the BESS W1 wave, in the battery yard.

What you will do

• Pull and lay DC and LV cable between the battery enclosures, the inverters and the switchrooms
• Assist with the mechanical installation of enclosures, busbars and cable supports under an electrician’s direction
• Label, dress and secure cable and assist with terminations
• Keep the electrical work front stocked, tidy and safe

You will need

• Trade-assistant or construction experience; electrical, battery or solar experience is an advantage
• The fitness for repetitive outdoor manual work
• A White Card
• The care to follow an electrician’s instructions exactly

• Pay: $39 an hour + penalties
• Penalty rates: Yes — award penalty rates apply
• Accommodation details: Roster: Mon–Fri; 10-hour days. Commutable from Horsham; no camp.
